THANKS TO YOU, WE HAVE REACHED TEN YEARS
WITH CHILDREN AT SAM'S PLACE

Planning and building began in 2007, but our first fourteen deaf children arrived at Sam's Place in 2010.  As Sam’s Place School and Orphanage approaches its 10-year anniversary for welcoming these first deaf orphans, we would like to thank you for being a part of Sam’s Place’s critical work. Over the past 10 years, 50 deaf orphans have had their lives changed forever because of the time, gifts, and contributions made from people like you.

Orphans from the bush country of Western Kenya, from desperate villages and trash heaps, from lives filled with hunger, loneliness, and hopelessness, now have bright futures ahead of them.

Because of your compassion and concern, Western Kenya is being changed. Since 2010, Sam’s Place has provided:

  • Rescue to 50 children who had no home, no value, and no means to survive on their own
  • Opening of Sam’s Place High School, to continue providing advanced education to our students
  • Six Sam’s Place graduates, all of whom transitioned to technical school
  • Quality facilities for our staff and students, including self-sustaining solar power and one of the most advanced Computer labs in the region
  • Highly trained staff, committed to the wellbeing and development of our students
  • Life changing medical care providing surgeries, emergency care, and daily care with an on-campus nurse
